Zack is an African-American teenager with dark brown skin, deep brown eyes, and black afro-textured hair. Just pushing past five foot eight in height, he stands taller than Kimberly and Trini, but shorter than Billy, Jason, and Tommy. Being both a seasoned martial artist and trained dancer, Zack has a slim yet muscular body—he’s one hundred and sixty-five pounds of muscle—kept in great shape by his athletic and healthy lifestyle.

His regular activities and practice give him great agility and flexibility, which he uses rhythmically in battle and dance. Like the rest of the Power Rangers, he’s quite good looking and considered handsome by many of his peers, particularly with his winning smile. Curiously, Zack is missing the middle finger on his left hand (how or why was never revealed or even mentioned in the show, but the real reason is that his actor lost said finger in a childhood accident).

Image-wise, Zack is straight out of the 90s in hairstyle, clothing, and fashion. Zack wears his hair in one of the iconic black youth culture styles of the early 90s: the “hi-top” fade. Meaning he keeps his hair on the sides of his head cropped very short and leaves his hair on the top of his head longer (aka: long and “high” on the top while “faded” on the sides). In the later part of the series, Zack grew his hair out long enough to plait it into many tight braids that hung down to his ears. Whatever the style, he obviously wears his hair out and proud around Angel Groove.

Clothing wise, Zack’s fashion reflects the aesthetics coming out of the Hip Hop era and follows the trends that can be found in African-American culture at the time, the quintessential black look of the 90s. He often chooses loose or baggy clothes with Garveyism colors (red, black, and green) and differing-but-flashy patterns.

His upper clothing choices range from loose short-or-long-sleeve t-shirts, wide-collared button-down casual shirts that are comfortably oversized and usually left open to collar or mid-chest, polo shirts with the collars kept open, y-back muscle shirts or tank tops, and the obligatory hoodies and jackets for cooler weather. Zack’s lower clothing choices are simpler, with baggy jeans or khakis, cargo shorts or jean shorts, and a selection of workout shorts including soccer and basketball styles. Belts are the average fare, from leather to thick cloth with the normal metal buckles.

Of course, like many of the athletic youth of the 90s, Zack loves wearing basketball shoes and sneakers, which are—is there any doubt—the Air Jordan brand. Sometimes he’ll pop a cap on, wearing either colorful rastacaps or baseball caps made even cooler by facing backwards. When it comes to jewelry, he tends to favor stud or small hoop earrings and different necklaces, including Africa chains (thin gold chains with small tag pendants) and tribal bead just-shy-of-choker-length collars. His communicator serves as a wristwatch and it’s rare he’s seen without it.

While Zack does keep to the “wear your color” style the other Power Rangers favor—in his case, black—his wardrobe is rarely limited to the colors of his Ranger designation. As he opts for the “wear black somewhere on me and the rest is a color party” version, black is always a part of his ensemble, but red, green, yellow, purple, blue, orange, and other bright vibrant colors all find their way into his clothing, with black usually being the background canvas behind the colors, accentuating outlines to the other hues, or just “the other half” of his outfit (see black pants and colored shirt or black shirt and colored pants).

His tops and jewelry are often emblazoned with the colors of the pan-African flag (yellows, reds, and greens). And not just content to keep with colors, Zack has several patterns on his clothes, from the African kente style to classic pinstripe and plaid to cow-spot patchwork and ‘pops’ amid a single color. Basically, the guy’s clothes reflect his personality: “black, bold, bright, and colorful”.

When his Black Ranger powers are active, Zack is clothed in a form-fitting spandex body suit. Three white diamonds are featured prominently across the chest, upper shoulders, and back of his costume. His hands and forearms are covered by a pair of white gloves with triangular diamonds at the upper end of the gloves. His feet and shins are covered by a pair of white boots with the same diamond design. Situated around the middle of his waist sits a pure white belt that holds Zack’s Power Morpher in the place of a belt buckle. Outside of all of the white, the rest of the costume is dark black.

Zack’s Black Ranger uniform is topped off with a round helmet; the top of which is fashioned in the shape of a Mastodon. The trunk and tusks of the Mastodon surround the helmet’s eye visor and the helmet’s mouthpiece is covered by a grey material molded in the shape of a mouth. The helmet rests on a white spandex collar that connects under his body suit and inside his helmet. When not in use, the Black Ranger uniform exists invisibly and immaterially about his body and only manifest itself in the material world when Zack morphs. After morphing, whatever clothing he was previously wearing likewise becomes immaterial around him until the transformation ends.

It’s morphin time! Mastodon!
The good guys are here!
Looks like it’s time to go to work.
The hand is quicker than the eye.
Now, it’s time for my slamma-jamma, double-whamma, hip-hoppit, ’cause-ya-can’t-stop-it, big-disgrace, ’cause-it’s-in-your-face, long-shot!
Speakin’ of happy endings, I left Angela sittin’ back at the theater! If I don’t get back before the curtain goes down, it’s gonna be curtains for me. I’m outta here. See ya.
You’ve messed with my friends, and now I’m gonna mess with you! Time for you to learn what Mastodon power is all about. Let’s see how you like my deep freeze! Nighty-night, web-face!

The icon. The black nerd legend. Hands down the coolest, hippest, most dynamic of the original Rangers. The first Black Power Ranger and the first Black Power Ranger. Zachary “Zack” Taylor is to some the G.O.A.T. of Power Rangers, whether just Mighty Morphin or the entire franchise. Chosen by Zordon himself to defend Earth as a Power Ranger, Zack was given the Black Mastodon Power Coin due to being both "clever and brave" and understanding the values of friendship and close ties with his teammates. Using his positivity and good humor, Zack is the soul of the team, keeping the sprits of the other Rangers high as they wage war against the evil space witch Rita Repulsa.

The original Black Ranger is an energetic, charismatic, and fun-loving young man. With a love for the active life, he enjoys athletics (such as basketball, American football, and scuba diving), dancing (especially to a fresh beat bumping out of his friend's boombox), and parties (whether they be for birthdays or event celebrations). Above all, however, Zack loves being with his friends Jason Lee Scott, Billy Cranston, Trini Kwan, and Kimberly Ann Hart, and later, Tommy Oliver. Close, protective, supportive, and caring, he’s there to listen to any problems his friends might have, encourage and support them in their endeavors, and jump in to defend them if he feels they’re being picked on or endangered.

Of course, the latter in that list isn’t always necessary, as all of Zack’s friends are quite capable of handling bullies and such by themselves. Though he’s able and willing to kick some butt if needed, Zack and the other Power Rangers generally try to foster peace when there’s discord and won’t escalate an encounter unless it’s called for. Granted, Angel Grove’s two main bullies, Bulk and Skull, tend to “call for it” very quickly, and none of the Rangers are too shy about giving them their comeuppance.

Like many characters found in television shows designed for younger children, Zack is good to a fault; he is excessively polite, motivated, cheerful, civically minded, and brave. A very confident and positive young man, he has a standout enthusiastic and upbeat nature, and tries to look on the bright side of things, usually suggesting a positive outcome or possibility if events take a bad turn. In several cases where the Power Rangers’ friends are kidnapped by Rita’s goons, he’s the first to assure that the captives must still be okay and that the Rangers will save them. Likewise, he will fight to the bitter end to foil the plans of Rita Repulsa and his minions to keep Earth safe. Unfortunately, sometimes this bravery and determination gets the better of him, and while not as bad as Jason, he does have the tendency to brashly go after monsters even if it sends him over a cliff.

Zack’s love for dancing and music is probably the most defining aspect of his character; he enjoys dancing at every chance he gets, from spontaneous dance off competitions to simply jamming out when a fresh beat shows up. He even developed his own fighting style, Hip Hop Kido, a combination of dancing and fighting. which he occasionally teaches to other kids. While he does tend to be a bit of a show off, Zack loves to be the center of attention and often pursues this by showcasing his dancing skills in front of the others and being the group’s clown, perennial prankster, and slight-of-hand magician. He loves a good joke (especially on Halloween) and is always ready with laughs and teases if anyone on the team is feeling down or needs some extra encouragement. He’ll even prank and wind up his friends, once scaring Trini with a frightening mask, but only to get her to instinctively climb a rope and thus prove to her she’d conquered her fear of heights, much to her bemused exasperation as the rest of her friends praised her success.

Quick-witted and clever, Zack succeeds academically despite his secret life as a superhero. He gets good grades in school and regularly works on community or school projects to help others. Zack’s intelligence and resourcefulness flows over into his fighting style and he relies on a combination of skill, strength, and agility to win his battles. Zack is an excellent team player and works well with the other Rangers in combination attacks during fights and battle plans when facing down monsters. He has enough martial prowess to fight off a group of Putties while skating and has made use of playgrounds and picnic tables to give himself an environmental advantage in a fight. Because of his positive qualities, Zack serves as Jason's second-in-command to the Power Rangers, until Tommy returned as the White Ranger and began to lead the team.

With his zest for living, charm, and smooth-talking speech pattern, Zack gets along amiably with others and finds it very easy to make friends with people. Having been with Jason for the longest time, the Red and Black Rangers are each other’s best friends. Zack is usually Jason's sparring partner when practicing martial arts and they regularly spend time in one of their garages dancing around and having a good time, at least until someone walks by, embarrassing them. Playing with that “black best friend” trope, he not only hangs with Jason the most in normal life, Zack regularly fights back-to-back with Jason as Rangers during battles. He and the other Rangers have their own friendships, with Zack being emotional support for Trini and Kimberly and being willing to listen to Billy’s technobabble talk (though doesn’t often understand it), among other interactions.

After Tommy joined the team, Zack and he quickly became close friends, helped even further because they shared interests. Tommy’s trust in him and Zack’s status as the group’s romantic sees the Green Ranger seeking Zack out for advice when Tommy was nervous about trying to engage a romantic relationship with Kimberly. Likewise, though Jason was the Ranger Tommy selected to take on his Green Ranger powers after Rita eliminated Tommy's link to the Morphing Grid, Zack was the only other individual to don the Dragon Shield when Tommy gave it to him so that its enhanced regenerative powers could heal Zack from a monster's acidic attack.

Despite his optimistic attitude, Zack is still a teenager with his own struggles and fears. Though rare, he’s not immune to disappointment, despair, and hurt feelings. Early on in his career as a Power Ranger, he thought his friends had forgotten his birthday (they were planning a surprise party for him and only pretended to forget). Zack was visibly upset at the perceived neglect and retreated to a secluded area to nurse his frustrations, ultimately falling into a trap by Rita and ending up in a losing battle until his friends came to his rescue. There have only been three occasions in his fight against evil, however, that saw Zack ready to give it up: when the Green Ranger took out Zordon, Alpha 5, and the Command Center while removing the Rangers from the Megazord; when his team was placed under a spell to take away their confidence; and when their Dinozords were commandeered by Lord Zedd's first monster, Pirantishead.

Zack is also an extreme ophidiophobe, arachnophobe, and entomophobe, meaning he is terrified of snakes, spiders, and insects respectively. Fighting against monsters themed off these creatures was very difficult for him, and Rita employed at least one of each. However, he was able to handle two fake snakes during a magic trick and was later able to overcome an encounter on Rita's Island of Illusion where his strength of will was tested against his fear of snakes as he faced off against a huge anaconda. This suggests that, like Trini fighting her fear of heights, Zack’s fear of snakes is deteriorating over time.

Though he loves all the people close to him and is almost always polite and respectful, Zack does have two edges to him. One, he has a very flirtatious side; he frequently has an arm around Trini or Kimberly and often can be found pursuing his attractive, but hard-to-get classmate, Angela. Unfortunately, few of his Casanova Wannabe attempts succeed and he’s been shot down and brushed off several times. Not that it stops him from bouncing back and attempting again. Two, he has a sarcastic side; he’s pretty on the ball with mocking quips or needling comments—though never truly mean-spirited—if he feels the need for some snark, albeit not quite as apt at it a Kimberly.

He, like the other Rangers, isn’t above taking good-natured pot shots at each other, one time making an exaggerated gagging gesture with Jason to indicate that the boy flirting with Kimberly was being way too gushy. Additionally, while he is a friendly and approachable young man, Zack can be skeptical and dismissive of something too outlandish or unrealistic, such as when he initially turned down Zordon’s story about Rita and his calling to become the Black Ranger and was the first to leave.

Whether fighting to protect the world or getting through the school day or hanging out with his friends, Zack is and always will be Zack. A product of the 90s era, he is a well-liked, albeit slightly stereotypical, representation of young black culture and whatever was cool and hip in general during his time. And yes, he would occasionally utter words such as "jammin", "groove" and "phat". An upbeat, enthusiastic, and clever young man with happy-go-lucky attitude who fits well into the heavy hip-hop aesthetics of the era, Zack is the only African American on the original team of Power Rangers and isn’t afraid to be himself around them or anyone else he’s with. As one of the few African American folks in a fictional Californian city, tasked with defending the world from an extraterrestrial danger, he is always himself and so unapologetically black in every episode. Despite the racial implications of his character, Zack is still a radically-different black character in that 90s era, thus It’s no surprise that he’s the role model for many black boy and girls around him.
( Dec. 10th, 2019 11:56 pm)
It’s morphin time!” The legendary call of the 90s. Zack is one of the “teenagers with attitude” hand-picked by Zordon to become a member of the Earth-based Power Rangers. An accomplished martial artist and dancer, Zack is no slouch in combat outside of his spandex-clad Ranger ego. However, whenever he needs to use his power to fight monsters beyond his human abilities, Zack calls upon the might of the prehistoric Mastodon and uses his Power Morpher and imbedded Black Mastodon Power Coin to connect to the Morphing Grid and transform into the superpowered Black Ranger. Zack’s signature weapon, the Power Axe, gives him added power and range in combat and he can even wield the legendary Dragon Shield in a pinch. For threats too large or strong for even the transformed teen to handle, he can call forth the mighty Mastodon Dinozord to freeze or crush his enemies no matter the size. While there have been many future rangers to wield the color, there is only one Zack the Black Ranger.

Zack Taylor (Human Abilities)
Outside of his superhero activities, Zack is a normal human boy and high school student from Angel Grove, CA. When not clad in his strength-augmenting uniform, he possesses the normal human strength one would expect to find in a youth of his age, height, and build who engages in athletic activities and regular exercise. Zack is highly athletic and regularly engages in many activities including basketball, football, soccer, gymnastics, surfing, bowling, scuba diving, and others. His passion for dancing equates to his great skill in it, from competitive to impromptu performances, and contributes great grace and style to his various gymnastic feats and parkour actions.

However, don’t underestimate him; Zack is a superb martial artist. He studied martial arts alongside dancing as he grew up and enjoys martial arts just as much as dance. As a result, he combined the two and developed his own signature fighting style, Hip Hop Kido, as a way to defend himself and have fun at the same time. This fusion art consists of dance-like maneuvers flourished with fast and powerful Karate strikes, lots kicks and flips, and different twists and spins, much like the modern-day Capoeira style.

Quick and agile, he strikes opponents at varying heights, reaches body points not normally covered, and almost simultaneously avoids reprisals thanks to his tricky movements and flexible positions. Hip Hop Kido is a very rhythmic and fluid fighting style and effectively combines power and prowess, making Zack an incredibly formidable combatant against his enemies. Additionally, his expertise in martial arts and human prowess still allows him to fight and defeat enemies as resilient as Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd’s Putties without needing to transform.

Zack is more than just a martial artist and is quite intelligent and resourceful, albeit not to the same heights as Billy or Trini. On several occasions, it was his cunning that led his team to victory. It was Zack who discovered the means to overcome the Knasty Knight, a monster sent to isolate and destroy him on his birthday. The monster possessed the ability to redistribute the Rangers’ power in order to fry the weapons they used against him; it was Zack’s idea to copy the Knight’s technique and send the redistributed energy back at him, turning the tables and securing their victory. When the storm-bringing chimera monster Goatan froze the Megazord, Zack analyzed what little resources the Megazord had left and used it to break the mighty Zord free, regaining dominance in the battle.

In his hand-to-hand fights, Zack sometimes tones down his Hip Hop Kido style and reverts to more traditional Karate in order to mimic and better sync with the attacks of another Ranger to simultaneously strike opponents. His skill at teamwork and cooperative synergy with his allies further builds on his fighting prowess. While human, Zack utilizes a Wrist Communicator to keep in close contact with his fellow Rangers and Zordon in the Command Centre.

The communicator is a watch-like device Zack wears on his left wrist and provides standard cell-phone like features. In addition, the Wrist Communicator can access the Rangers’ Command Center’s Teleportation system remotely, allowing Zack to teleport where ever he needs to go at will. And finally, as a Power Ranger, Zack must follow three rules: 1.) Never use his powers for personal gain 2.) Never escalate a battle unless forced to 3.) Never reveal his identity to anyone.

Black Ranger (Ranger Abilities)
When Zack needs power beyond his human capabilities, he morphs into the Black Ranger. After calling to his guardian beast—“Mastodon!”—he instantaneously transforms and has access to his costume and weapons, as well as enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Once morphed, Zack possesses a number of superhuman powers derived from his mystic augmentation uniform and can fight against monsters capable of taking over and/or destroying an entire planet. Zack’s Power Ranger Costume is a black and white spandex uniform, complete with an impact-resistant helmet, a belt to hold his morpher and power coin, and gloves and boots that provide strong grip, ground traction, and impact absorption. With his strength augmented by his uniform, Zack’s physical abilities reach superhuman levels.

His Super Strength enables him to lift (press) at least 500lbs directly overhead, throw weights ranging from vehicles to large boulders, and send destructive monsters flying with the force of his punches and kicks. His Super Speed enhances his stamina, agility, and reflexes to levels comparable to those possessed by most Olympic athletes and higher, granting him the ability to leap inhuman distances, dodge attacks ranging from lightning bolts to magical energy blasts, and strike enemies faster than they can see. His Super Durability enables him to withstand blows that could potentially break large islands or cleave mountains, effectively rendering his invulnerable to damage from firearms, large impacts, falls, and even massive explosions, be these physical attacks or energy assaults. This durability also converts physical damage into bursts of energy instead of harming Zack’s normal body. Powerful impacts, stabbing blows, and energy blasts all result in showers of sparks exploding from the Ranger’s costume, leaving it scorched but Zack himself unharmed. However, he can still be knocked around and thrown great distances by enemies, even rendered dazed or unconscious from a powerful enough collision.

When transformed, Zack normally fights with hand-to-hand combat, using his martial arts and physical enhancements. For stronger foes, he summons his personal weapon, the Power Axe, a large-and-heavy, black-and-yellow, single-bladed axe used for close combat, blunt damage, and cleaving attacks to deadly effect. When necessary, Zack can slide the base of the axe-head down towards the end of the weapon’s hilt and flip the axe around, converting it into a cannon-like weapon, with the blade serving as the trigger and the handle becoming the barrel, capable of firing strong blasts of energy at his foes. He can combine the Power Axe with the other Rangers’ Power Weapons to form the Power Blaster, a large crossbow-like weapon with the Power Axe forming the main portion of the canon. Zack also possesses the standard Ranger sidearm, the Blade Blaster, a small high-tech dagger-like weapon that can be quickly converted into a high-powered laser gun, capable of doing enough damage to kill lesser monsters and stun stronger ones.

Finally, while clad in his Black Ranger uniform, Zack can summon and pilot his personal Zord to combat enemies or handle situations far outside his abilities as a human-sized Ranger. Zack pilots the Mastodon Dinozord, a mastodon-shaped mecha that sleeps in hiding in the deep Artic when not summoned. Defensively, the Zord focuses on shielding with its head to block impacts and protect targets with its bulky body. Offensively, the Zord fires frigid blasts of cold air and mist from its trunk to temporarily blind and freeze enemies in place. At 24.7 m in length, 15 m in height, and 108 tons in weight, the Mastodon Dinozord is a massive wall of strength, but still moves at 120 km/h and makes use of its trunk, tusks, and size to battle. In the future, Zack pilots the Lion Thunderzord, a lion-based mecha created from the destroyed Mastodon Zord’s template and salvaged parts. While it doesn’t share the same icy offensive abilities as the Mastodon, its greater armor and defenses provide better protection for the Black Ranger’s teammates through sheer bulk. And at 35 m in length, 21 m in width, and 47 tones, it’s still capable of ramming opponents at high speeds.

Despite his fighting talents as a human and his enhanced strength and powers when transformed, Zack depends on his ability to morph to fight beyond a peak human level. Without his Morpher or Power Coin, he cannot transform until he regains hold of them, putting him at a disadvantage against foes able to somehow steal his Morpher or Power Coin. When not in use, the Black Ranger uniform exists invisibly and immaterially about his body. In order to cause the suit to manifest itself in the material world, Zack must hold aloft his Power Morpher, containing his Power Coin, and utter the command “Mastodon!” to morph. Until he does so, Zack is a normal human teenager and is quite vulnerable to conventional injury. Though rare, the Black Ranger can fall out of his transformed state. If he sustains a significant amount of damage during a fight, if his Power Morpher or Power Coin is damaged, or if his connection with the Morphing Grid is severed, Zack’s transformation will wear off and he’ll de-morph. He won’t be able to morph again until he recovers his strength, his morpher or coin is repaired, or his grid connection is restored, depending on whichever happened. Just being knocked unconscious won’t end his transformation, however, and it takes some of the strongest of magics to forcefully de-morph him while conscious. Likewise, removing his costume, particularly his helmet, without his consent is all but impossible while he’s transformed, protecting his secret identity.

Breaking the 4th Wall Only if the thread already permits it (like certain memes or settings). Inner-monologue references are fine.

Dropping Threads I strive to finish threads. The only time I’ll drop is if we seriously clash as players or if there are multiple long unannounced breaks.

Offensive Subjects I don’t have any triggers or hard no’s. Just keep it tactful and feel free to PM if you have a question or comment.

Brackets / Prose I’m completely comfortable with both and will match whichever my thread partner prefers.

Tense I default past tense ("he said, he did") with prose and present tense ("he says, he does") with brackets, but can easily change as needed.

Meme Continuity If we both want to, then absolutely! (Feel free to PM me if I forget something from the past.)

Spoilers I don't mind them; drop them as you will. I tend to do a wiki read-up on any character I thread with anyways, so feel free to give me more information! Btw, I don’t mark subject lines with "spoiler" headers since we’re all on the Internet.

AUs Bring it on. I’m good with incorporating your character into my character’s universe, dropping mine into yours, or setting them both in a different AU altogether. We can plot / research as needed to make it happen.

Cross-Canon Biggest yes. I love cross-canon as much as canon. Feel free to hit me up with anyone from anywhere.

Cross-Media Also good with this. RL, books, movies, tv-shows, comics, have at it.

OCs I’m okay with OCs so long as I don’t know who the PB is. If I do, probably not, because then it gets weird.

Fandom AUs and OCs Fandom AUs are awesome, so feel free! Fandom OCs fall under the same comment as above.

Violence / Fighting Love it, detail it, go for it, but keep in mind the IC relationships and reactions from it. Try to keep violence threads at a give-and-take level unless we agree to a curbstomp beforehand. We can decide winner / loser in a fight thread oocly or just let it go naturally. That said, I’m good at writing action threads and enjoy battles, from superpowers to martial arts to weapons to magic to mecha to more.

Physical Affection Love it, detail it, go for it, but keep in mind the IC relationships and reactions from it. Hugs, arm around shoulders, friendly kisses to the cheek or forehead, those kinds of things are all good.

Smut Oh hell yeah! I live for this. Give me all the porno-grade PWP, the emotions-strung CR sex, the dirty bad touches, and everything else in between. I never fade to black unless my thread partner indicates their preference to beforehand or there are pressing circumstances.

Kinks My kink-list is here. My muses’ kinks are interpreted via their characters and the setting, but player kinks take precedence. Some "no" items are negotiable. Feel free to PM me with questions.

Shipping Preferences I ship M/M in canon, crosscanon, and crossmedia. Please note, outside of romantic or sexual ships, I greatly enjoy M/F relationships, from allies to friends to rivals to enemies (and will make rare exceptions for F/M sex if it comes to pegging, either with toys or naturally). For me, shipping is more about how the characters get along and how well the players mesh; I enjoy developing a ship through CR buildup and don’t force ships "because it's canon" or some similar rationale. Understood-CR for memes is a normal exception, however, and both friendly and antagonistic ships are good to go. Threading CR buildup can be gen or smut or a mix. Sex can obviously happen without a ship, but there needs to be chemistry between the characters for a ship to set sail. Also, feel free to have your character develop a crush (or obsession) on mine, but keep in mind any IC ramifications if they act on it.

IC PREFERENCES

Touching Go for it! Zack is very much a touchy-feely person with people he knows and likes. Pats on the back or shoulder, playful nudges, handshakes, high fives, fist bumps, and all that stuff is great! Close friends can even go further with back rubs or thigh pats and the like. Strangers and enemies probably should not go randomly touching him unless they wanna get tossed.

Hugging Go for it! Zack loves hugs. A nice quick hug is a good greeting, farewell, or congratulations between friends. If he’s feeling flirty or really comfortable around someone, he’s got no problem draping himself on them, one arm or both around the shoulder or upper chest (and yes, he knows if he can or can’t do that with someone). Again, if he doesn’t know someone or is antagonistic towards them, a hug is going to get a quick verbal or physical rejection.

.

Kissing Go for it! Zack feels that kissing is something dating couples do, so if you’re dating him, feel free to kiss him! He’s respectful to those around him though, so keep the more intense PDA kissing to private times. If you’re not dating him, however, don’t try to kiss him unless you want to get gaped at and questioned (probably for a cheek kiss) or stiff armed away (for an attempt on the lips). Continued attempts after a reject will get you tossed.

Flirting Go for it! Zack is a flirt and he knows it. He’s got a charming attitude, a winning smile, and a smooth-talking voice. Sometimes his flirts can be cheesy (it’s the 90s), but other times he’s quite the romantic. Enough that others have gone to him for advice on asking others out. He’s good with flirting both verbally and physically and enjoys it. Flirting with him will quickly get some flirting back. However, he’s not rude or crass and doesn’t appreciate either directed at him. Also, if he’s in a relationship, he won’t flirt with someone else. And if he doesn’t want the attention, he’s politely shut the flirt down.

Sex Go for it! Zack isn’t adverse to fooling around with his friends or someone he trusts. Sex can be a fun way to bond, comfort, or just have a good time. Still, he doesn’t sleep around with anyone; he has to know and like the person pretty well to think about getting intimate with them. Sex means something more than just throwing it around. And it’s a private thing, so he prefers to keep it in the bedroom or someplace personal. If he’s in a relationship, however, Zack won’t cheat on his partner unless there’s a desire and agreement from said partner.

Fighting Go for it! Zack doesn’t like fighting as an attempt to hurt people. Fighting and martial arts are to be used for protecting those weaker than yourself. He’ll attempt to calm a situation down first before resorting to fighting in defense of himself or another person. However, he’s neither a pacifist nor a pushover and will fight after a warning or two. And he’s not afraid to show a casual style of intimidation either. Kind of a “do you really want to mess with me?” sort of presentation. He’ll use a lighter form of violence (trips, dodges, judo throws, holds) to shut a bully down, something all the Power Rangers are shown to do this when dealing with Bulk and Skull, the resident Angel High bullies.

Injuring With reservations. Zack is a normal human despite his prowess as a martial artist and dancer. Outside of his morphed form, he can be hurt just like any other human and heals as slowly as them too. Similar to fighting, he does his best not to seriously injure anyone, even those he ends up having to fight against (or throw around a little, like Bulk and Skull). But in a real fight against Rita or Zedd and their ilk, he’ll fight to put down. When it comes to injuring him, keep things light and superficial. Bruises, cuts, scrapes, sprains, all that doesn’t require a PM. For anything more serious, however, send a PM to discuss it first.

Killing No thanks. Zack has probably dealt with death before, but Angel Grove seems a rather non-fatal place, especially since the Power Rangers protect it from Rita and Zedd’s constant attacks. That said, Zack would never kill someone if he could help it and definitely has no plans of dying any time soon, though he will risk his life it means protecting his friends or sacrificing himself for the greater good, but it as a human or a Ranger. Thread-wise, there’s no interest in killing him off.

Mind Reading With reservations. Zack’s faced monsters with the ability to read minds and dealt with Rita and Zedd’s magic that can manipulate feelings and dreams. Outside of these things, there’s no real “mind-reading” going on in his life and he definitely hasn’t been trained or experienced enough to fight it off without morphing. Looking around in there will show his daily life as an Angel Grove high schooler and his activities as a Power Ranger. The latter means he’d rather people not poke around in his head, so when it comes to threads, send a PM first to discuss any mind reading.

Non-Human Beings Go for it! Zack has faced a number of inhuman beings in his role as the Black Power Ranger. Unfortunately, asides from Zordon and Alpha 5, all of them have been evil space aliens who wish to conquer the Earth. Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, their lackies, and the monsters they create. Unlike many of the future Power Rangers, there’s no positive non-human beings in his experience, so he probably won’t give a warm welcome to any he encounters. Of course, since he’d rather talk first than fight (outside of an obviously-attacking monster), Zack is likely to stay his hand if the non-human being at least communicates some good intentions. Trust, however, comes later.
